Chief Executive Officer
Bill’s broad executive management background stems from more than 20 years in marketing, product and sales operations management roles. He joined StrongView in 2006 as VP of Marketing, and held the positions of EVP Business Operations, Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer prior to being appointed as CEO. As CEO, Bill sets the overarching vision for the business while managing day to day operations through the executive staff. Prior to joining StrongView, he spent 10 years at BEA Systems in senior management positions in product and sales operations where he helped take the company from startup to $1B in revenue. Prior to BEA Systems, he held management positions with other companies in the technology and aerospace sectors, including Novell, Unix Systems Laboratories and Smiths Industries, where he had global product responsibility. Bill earned a BS Degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Mark Kvamme is a venture capitalist at Drive Capital in Columbus, Ohio. Mark founded Drive Capital with Chris Olsen (venture capitalist) in 2013. He currently sits on the board of FarmLogs, Roadtrippers, Gild, FunnyorDie, and Mark Logic. He specializes in innovative technology, healthcare and consumer investments in the Midwest. Before Drive Capital, Mark was the Interim Chief Investment Officer and President of JobsOhio. Prior to JobsOhio, Mark was a partner at Sequoia Capital, the Chairman and CEO of CKS Group, the Director of International Marketing at Wyse Technology, President and CEO of International Solutions and a founding member of Apple France. Mark has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Venky joined Menlo Ventures in 2013 and focuses on investments in the consumer and enterprise sectors. He currently serves on the board of BitSight, Gild, Handle, Machine Zone, Takipi and Waterline Data Science. Prior to joining Menlo, he was a Managing Director at Globespan Capital Partners where he was part of the investment team since the firm’s inception. At Globespan, Venky led numerous successful investments including Palo Alto Networks (“PANW), Amobee (Acquired by SingTel for $321 Million), Exeros (Acquired by IBM), Jajah (Acquired by Telefonica for $207 Million), Sendia (Acquired by Salesforce.com) and Trigo (Acquired by IBM). In addition, he also led investments or served on the boards of the following private companies: Bityota, Gild, Kaminario, Marketlive, Nominum, oDesk, Redfin, Rev, SMSGupshup, and StrongMail. Venky was recognized on the 2013 and 2014 Forbes Midas List.
Prior to Globespan, Venky was one of the founders of Trigo Technologies and played a critical part in building Trigo into the market leader in the product information management space. IBM acquired the company resulting in a substantial return for all investors. Venky also previously worked at McKinsey & Co., in the firm’s Los Angeles and Johannesberg offices and at Microsoft where he started his career as a Program Manager.
Venky holds a B.A. in Economics-Math from Reed College and a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science with honors from the California Institute of Technology. Venky believes strongly in giving back to the community and is a board member of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), the Co-President of The India Community Center, and a Trustee and Treasurer of Keys School.
Sangam Pant was previously the General Manager and Executive Vice President of eCompanies Incubator where he was responsible for product, technology and business development functions. Prior to joining eCompanies, Mr. Pant was Vice President of Integration and Operations for Lycos. During his tenure at Lycos, as Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Pant led the research, product development, quality assurance and operations groups for Lycos.com. Before joining Lycos, Mr. Pant was director of software development with AT&T's New Media Services and prior to that he directed software development efforts for Ziff-Davis and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Pant holds four patents and has authored numerous publications. Mr. Pant received his B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda , India , his Master of Science degree from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dave has been part of the investment team of Globespan Capital Partners since the firm's inception. He focuses primarily on investments in Software and Internet/Infrastructure companies. He also leads Globespan's CIO Advisory Board, which he helped to establish. Dave brings deep operating expertise in fast-growth environments, a strategic market view, and an intense commitment to help the firm's entrepreneurs achieve success in the technology marketplace.
Prior to Globespan, Dave was a Principal of JAFCO Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software opportunities. In his most recent operating positions, Dave held leadership roles at then start-up Family Education Network's (FEN), first as SVP of Sales and Marketing and then as SVP and General Manager of FEN's distributed content management software business. Before joining FEN, Dave served as a VP and GM at Trans National Group (TNG), where he successfully ran and sold TNG's start-up Canadian credit card business to Bank of Montreal (NYSE:BMO).
Dave is a member of Gartner's Executive Programs (EXP), a membership-based organization for 3,300 CIOs worldwide. Dave earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MBA, with honors, from Boston University.
A technology industry veteran with expertise in SaaS, cloud-based and high-performance systems, Tim McQuillen has been driving innovations in email for more than 15 years. McQuillen founded StrongView in 2002, helping build the business into a market leader that powers email marketing for such global brands as Fox Sports, Netflix and Overstock. McQuillen served as CIO of StrongView and head of its on-demand solutions, security, operations, IP, QA and technical services, where he was integral in transforming StrongView from an email infrastructure company to a full-service provider of on-demand and on-premise solutions.
Prior to StrongView, McQuillen managed all technical operations for L90, Inc., which was acquired by DoubleClick after a $112 million IPO. In that role, McQuillen successfully directed L90's technical operations and engineering teams for this top-tier advertising network with over $40 million in annual revenue. Prior to L90, McQuillen was director of business development and marketing for TigerEye Consulting, LLC, an online-based executive technical recruiting firm, and associate partner of Quest Worldwide, an executive technology staffing company. McQuillen holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
